The 1997 Nissan QX4 introduced a revised front suspension with stiffer springs and shocks. Common service items included replacing the front brake pads and rotors, and addressing issues with the automatic transmission’s torque converter. Rust was a prevalent concern, particularly around the rear wheel arches and floor pan.
